Below is the full statement:

JUSAG CONGRATULATE CHIEF JUSTICE PAUL BAFFOE-BONNIE

The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) wish to congratulate His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie on his appointment as the 16th Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana.

Your decades of judicial industry, perseverance, fidelity to the letter and spirit of the law, wisdom, and exceptional emotional intelligence make you the best fit for the top most judicial job of our dear nation.

Lord Chief Justice, your appointment as the head of the Judiciary and the Judicial Service comes at the time the independence of the Judiciary is on trial following years of perceived lost of confidence in the third arm of the state.

Though the period of your tenure is short, so much is expected of the Ghanaian people and staff of the Judiciary and the Judicial Service.

Indeed, so much has to be done to transform the image of the Judiciary and the Judicial Service to boost the dwindling confidence of Ghanaians in the Judiciary.

Your tenure shall be measured, not by the length of leadership, but by the magnitude of the impact witnessed by people who consume the services of justice delivery.

We know you. We have experienced you. And we are very confident in your ability to deliver the desired outcomes that meet the test of our contemporary times.

During the period of your acting role, we witnessed significant developments that give us hope that the welfare, professional development, and integrity of the Service would be prioritized.

For Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG), you have our fullest support in the pursuit of your strategic vision of providing Ghanaians with equal access to quality justice.

Lord Chief Justice, congratulations once again!

Long Live Judiciary. Long Live Judicial Service. Long Live Democracy. Long Live Mother Ghana.
