A 20 year Amateur model, Agyemang Duah has won the 2026 Mr. Model Africa competition held at Silver Star Tower on August 1, 2026 in Accra.
Richmond bested competition from nine (9) other gentlemen including Edward King Agbenyegah and Bernard Terpker who placed second and third respectively to come out tops as the new face of male modeling in Africa.
The finale night which brought together modeling and fashion enthusiast from across Ghana and beyond featured fashion runway presentation by award winningmenswear designer Bushai Weave and Afrocentric unisex designer House of Mickey whose statement pieces were a delight to watch on the runway.
The show opened with finalists woodin inspired African beach wear shorts with neck pieces from Enigma beads. This was followed by a colorful display of casual prints shirts and modern menswear pieces by Bushai Weave while House of Micky known for its colorful and Avant Garde Afrocentric menswear outfits showcased culture and tradition with his statement pieces. There was also a an Avant Garde segment which challenged the normal fashion norms put together by the finalists themselves as well as a formal wear segment which had all the finalistslook dapper in their all black suits and bow ties.
In the end, Agyemang won the ultimate with the combined scores from the Judges, online votes and prejudging from the competitions photo shoot tasks and activities during the show’s ten (10) weeks run on Saturdays at 9:30pm on Gh One TV.
For his Prize, Agyemang walked home with a Trip to South Africa and Benin, Three (3) months internship at Gh One TV, Commercial opportunities, Personal Accident insurance worth 15,000 cedis, Face of Ghana Menswear week, skincare and grooming services from Skinlyn Spaand a lifetime of memories.
