Alpha Stream and Asanko Gold Mine have joined the African Minerals Policy Forum – Mining in Motion 2026 (AMPF–MiM 2026) as Silver Sponsors, supporting efforts to attract investment and strengthen Africa’s mining sector.
The Forum is scheduled to take place in Accra from October 19 to 21, 2026, bringing together policymakers, mining companies, investors and other industry stakeholders to promote collaboration, local value addition and regional integration.
The participation of the two companies comes as African mining markets seek to increase mineral production, attract new sources of capital and strengthen regional value chains.
Asanko Gold Mine, which operates in Ghana, produced 121,191 ounces of gold in 2025. Its 2026 production guidance indicates a potential year-on-year increase of approximately 16% to 32%, with the midpoint representing growth of about 24%.
The company is also undertaking drilling programmes at Esaase, Abore and Nkran to support resource development and extend its production outlook.
The renewal of the Abirem Mining Lease through 2041 and the Miradani Mining Lease through 2043 provides a long-term framework for continued investment and mining activities.
Through its production, exploration and infrastructure development, Asanko contributes to Ghana’s gold supply chain and the broader objective of sustaining investment and employment in the mining sector.
Alpha Stream, a multi-commodity royalty and streaming company, brings an alternative financing approach to the mining industry.
Royalty and streaming arrangements enable mining companies to obtain upfront capital in exchange for royalty payments or rights to purchase a portion of future production under agreed terms.
These financing structures can help eligible mining projects fund development and expansion while diversifying their sources of capital.
Alpha Stream’s participation in the Forum is expected to provide an opportunity for engagement with policymakers, mining operators and investors on financing approaches that could support exploration, production and stronger regional value chains.
The two companies will contribute to discussions under the Forum’s theme, “One Continent. One Voice on Minerals. Aligning Africa’s Mineral Future.”

AMPF–MiM 2026 aims to strengthen partnerships, promote investment and advance strategies for local mineral processing, responsible production and cross-border cooperation.
The Forum also seeks to support Africa’s ambition to move beyond raw mineral exports, expand downstream industries and build a more integrated and competitive mining sector.
