The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has launched the third phase of her large-scale water project aimed at expanding access to clean and dependable water across the constituency.
This latest phase, which extends to 40 communities, is one of the most extensive rural water initiatives undertaken in the area in recent years.
It forms part of the MP’s broader agenda to improve living standards, boost public health, and tackle the long-standing water challenges confronting residents.
Communities benefiting from the project include:

Mrs. Gyan Cudjoe has, in recent months, intensified development efforts across Amenfi Central, with water provision emerging as a top priority due to decades of inadequate supply in many parts of the constituency.
Residents and local leaders have praised the rollout of the third phase, describing it as a transformative step that will help reduce waterborne diseases, lessen the daily burden on women and children who walk long distances in search of water, and support small-scale economic activities.
Reaffirming her commitment, the MP stated that her goal is to ensure every community in Amenfi Central gains access to safe drinking water, adding that more phases of the project will follow.
The initiative underscores her pledge to deliver inclusive development, promote equity, and improve the overall quality of life for her constituents.
