The Member of Parliament for Chiana-Paga Constituency, Billa Nikyema Lamzy, has supported 350 tertiary students from the constituency with GH₵1,000 each, totaling GH₵350,000.
The financial support is aimed at helping the students cater for some of their expenses in school. Beneficiaries cut across Nursing Training Colleges, Teacher Training Colleges, Universities and other tertiary institutions.
Speaking at the disbursement ceremony, the MP urged the students to take their studies seriously.”This money is to support you for at least a day or a week. It should help you with one or two things so you can have peace of mind to study and come out with flying colours,” he said.

“This is not for your Indomie. This is for your education. As your MP, your future matters to me,” he added.
The District Chief Executive for Kassena Nankana West, Stephen Aeke Akurugo, acknowledged the support from the MP.
According to him, this is not the only intervention from the MP. He highlighted that Mr. Lamzy has also supported the education sector through renovation of schools, construction of school buildings, and provision of other logistics.

The DCE, who expressed satisfaction with the MP’s active involvement in district development, advised the beneficiaries to believe in the NDC government and its commitment to education.
On 7th August 2026, Persons With Disabilities within the Kassena Nankana West District Assembly also received assorted items from the Member of Parliament.
The MP, Billa Nikyema Lamzy, and the DCE, Stephen Akurugo, jointly handed over the items to the beneficiaries.
