The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has cautioned the public against a fraudulent recruitment scheme being promoted through the website GOLERNERSHUB.COM, warning that the platform is falsely presenting itself as an official portal for protocol recruitment into the service.
This warning adds to growing concerns about the rise of online recruitment fraud in Ghana, with authorities urging citizens to remain vigilant and verify all job-related communications through trusted sources.
In an official statement released on June 2, 2025, and signed by Assistant Commissioner of Immigration and Head of Public Affairs, M. Amoako-Atta, the GIS categorically denied any association with the scheme and emphasized that no recruitment exercise is currently underway.
“The Management of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) wishes to alert the general public about a fraudulent recruitment scheme being circulated via the website GOLERNERSHUB.COM, which falsely claims the opening of a protocol recruitment portal,” the statement read.
The Service stressed that it has not authorized any individual, agency, or third-party platform to conduct recruitment or sell protocol forms on its behalf.
It further clarified that the government has not given clearance for any new hiring within the GIS at this time.

According to the release, all official recruitment exercises, when approved will be announced through nationally recognized media outlets and on the GIS’s official digital platforms.
The GIS says its Intelligence Unit, together with national security agencies, is probing the matter and will prosecute those responsible.
“Our Intelligence Section, in collaboration with other state security agencies, is currently pursuing credible leads to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators behind this fraudulent scheme. The public is hereby strongly advised to disregard and report any communication or solicitation from GOLERNERSHUB.COM or similar unofficial sources. Anyone who engages with such fraudulent entities does so at their own risk.”
