The Member of Parliament (MP) for Jomoro, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, has donated more than 30 motorcycles to National Democratic Congress (NDC) coordinators in the constituency to improve grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The donation, according to the Deputy Transport Minister, is intended to improve the mobility of party coordinators and enable them to reach more communities, particularly remote areas where transportation challenges have hindered grassroots activities.
The gesture follows requests from NDC coordinators in the constituency for logistical support to help them access hard-to-reach communities and carry out their organisational duties more effectively.
Madam Affo-Toffey said the initiative forms part of efforts to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures and equip local organisers with the resources needed to engage residents across the constituency.
She also reaffirmed her commitment to promoting unity within the party and providing logistical support to improve the work of grassroots organisers as political parties prepare for the 2028 general elections.
The motorcycles are expected to ease transportation difficulties, particularly in communities where poor road access and long distances make movement challenging.
The Deputy Transport Minister called on party members and supporters to maintain unity and strengthen collaboration, emphasising the importance of collective effort in building a stronger NDC and contributing to Ghana’s development.
The donation comes as political parties begin preparations to strengthen their grassroots networks ahead of the 2028 general elections.
