Women of Valour (WoV), the women’s leadership and storytelling platform founded by award-winning journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah, has announced the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) as the Headline Sponsor for its London 2026 edition, scheduled for March 7.
The partnership brings together two institutions with a shared focus on women’s leadership, economic inclusion, and social transformation across Africa and the diaspora. EBID’s headline sponsorship will support Women of Valour’s 2026 theme, Fearlessness, while strengthening conversations around courage, development, and impact.

Speaking on the partnership, Nana Aba Anamoah described the headline sponsorship as a reflection of a shared long-term vision. “Women of Valour was created to honour courage and amplify the voices that shape our societies. EBID’s support goes beyond sponsorship; it represents a belief in women as drivers of development and progress,” she said.
President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of EBID, Dr. George Agyekum Donkor, said the partnership aligns with the bank’s development priorities. “At EBID, we believe that empowering women is fundamental to sustainable development. This partnership is particularly significant as we prepare to obtain certification for the Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions,” he stated.

Women of Valour is held annually in celebration of International Women’s Day and spotlights women whose stories of resilience and leadership inspire change. Since its launch in Accra, the platform has expanded internationally, convening influential voices from media, business, public service, and civil society.
The announcement precedes the official launch of Women of Valour London 2026, scheduled for February 17, 2026, at the residence of the British High Commissioner to Ghana in Accra, marking the start of the global campaign toward the London event.
