The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) will disconnect the administrative blocks of some 91 hospitals for their indebtedness to the company, Starr News understands.
The 91 hospitals spread across the country owe a total of some GHC261 million to the country’s power supplier.
ECG as part of its latest debt recovery drive served notice to the 91 hospitals warning of possible disconnection within 72 hours if they failed to settle all arrears.
But Starr News understands the Electricity company of Ghana will soon move to disconnect the administrative blocks of the hospitals to drum home its message and impress upon the hospital authorities to expedite settling the debt.
