Broadcast Journalist at the English Cluster of EIB Network, Ekow Boakye, is representing Ghana at Cool Czechia 2025.
The programme, which takes place in Prague, Czech Republic, gathers young African leaders for 10 days of cultural exchange.
Organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, with its diplomatic missions in Africa, the ecent has become an annual opportunity to experience Czech diplomacy, history, and set up a platform for young African leaders to share ideas.
The event will include visits to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic for debates and a guided tour of the Ministry’s office in the Czernin Palace, as well as a tour of various monuments and sites in the capital, including the Office of the President in Prague Castle.
Cool Czechia also allows participants to visit Czech Radio, Radio Prague, and Czech TV to learn the history of media in the Czech Republic, which is vital in building of the country’s democracy.
Ekow Boakye becomes the third Ghanaian to represent Ghana in the third edition, joining 19 others from Morocco, Algeria, Ethiopia, Senegal, Benin, Togo, Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, Mozambique, Lesotho, Cape Verde, Sao Tome & Principe and South Africa.
Other parts of the programme include multiple sessions at forum 2000: Discussions and workshops on pressing global issues, a UNESCO Heritage Town Visit: Exploring the town of Telc, EU Experience Centre Visit: Simulating EU legislation processes.
The event runs from 9th to 16th October, 2025.
