Emirates’ Country Manager in Ghana, Mr Hendrik Du Preez, has been adjudged Chief Executive Officer of the Year in the Airline Industry.

He received the prestigious accolade at the recent Ghana Entrepreneur & Corporate Executive Awards for his contribution to the sustenance of Emirates and the aviation industry in Ghana.

The Awards, which was organized by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana in collaboration with the Ministries of Trade and Industry and Finance, seeks to, among other things, reward deserving entrepreneurs and corporate executives in the country. It was held at the Banquet Hall, State House in partnership with Omnibank.

The Awards pay tribute to the shining stars of Ghana’s corporate world, not just within their individual firms, but also within their respective sectors and industries as well.

“I feel honored to have won this Award. This is a testament to the hard work of the entire Emirates team in Ghana and a validation of our efforts to provide our customers with the best products and services in the air and on the ground, as well as real value for money,” said Mr Hendrik Du Preez.

Emirates has won numerous awards globally and in Ghana. The airline was also recently recognised as the Best Airline in the World and Best Major Airline in the Middle East and Africa in the inaugural TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice® Awards for Airlines.

Flying from Accra daily, Emirates has an extensive network of more than 150 destinations in over 80 countries across six continents, with convenient connections through its hub in Dubai.

Emirates has one of the youngest fleets in the world, meaning that along with exceptional service and inflight entertainment, customers can rely on the utmost in comfort and the latest in cabin design no matter where they are seated. Emirates’ fleet consists of A380s and Boeing 777s – the world’s largest operator of both aircraft.
