A USA citizen striving to help Ghana develop after falling in love with the country during a visit in May 2022 has initiated his first project under “Flynn’s Ghana Projects”.

Richard Flynn, cut sod to construct modern community center with other auxiliary facilities at New Koforidua, a community located along the Accra to Kumasi highway in Ghana.

Richard Flynn arrived in Ghana in May last year.

The warm reception by the people of Ghana and the culture made him fall in love with the country.

He realized that, the work he was trying to achieve in America is achievable more impactful in Ghana

Flynn and Wife Jessica Flynn therefore initiated “Flynn’s Ghana Projects” to mobilize resources and investors to Ghana to help facilitate development exploring the abundant natural resources, whilst promoting Ghana to the world through “Because Ghana” platform on social media.

Speaking to the media at the sidelines of the sod cutting ceremony for the community center complex, the Richard Flynn described Ghana as a safe investment hub in the sub region Africa at large hence the need for investors to channel their resources into Ghana to help develop the country.

“I have my residency here in Ghana. We came here as a family to this tail end of the country and we are just continuing to stay and enjoy the beautiful country that we are in. It is always amazes me because that people are always trying to get to America that seem to be the dream of every Ghanaian but my dream is really to bring America here because Ghana has everything here. You have the family, community, you have the whole unit together as one” Flynn said.

He added “we are super proud to have start a project here in New Koforidua and then continue our growth. I am determined to work with the government and the chiefs to bring my skill set and also my connections from the US to really see to develop Ghana, to bring jobs in the area and also build developmental projects such as this. We are going to put up a full community stunner .It is going to have obviously the stands. It’s going to be concrete platform it will be three sided and then the other side will have rest room, there will be dressing rooms and obviously the offices, so it is going to be really a nice good size project and a great place for the community to meet the other and come together”.

Richard Flynn, World Diplomatic Federation’s Provost Commissioner, USA, is also a member of US-based revolutionary team constructing world class studio in Asebu, in Central Region.

The Chief of New Koforidua , Nana Yaw Sarpong Kumankuma (I) said the community is faced with many developmental challenges therefore the intervention by the American Philanthropist Richard Flynn is highly cherished stating that the community will continue to partner him for more development.

The Adontenhene of New Koforidua, Nana Agyei Boateng, and some youth in the community called for more investment to address myraid of gabs in the development of the community.

The youth in particular appealed for establishment of a factory that can help them get employment opportunities.
