The Ga West Municipal Assembly held its first ordinary meeting of the second session of the 9th assembly at the municipal assembly hall. The meeting was attended by assembly members, traditional leaders, and other stakeholders.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Desmond Sowah Nai, highlighted key issues affecting the municipality, including infrastructure development, healthcare, and education.
After the meeting, Hon. Sowah Nai expressed his commitment to transforming the Amasaman Municipality through industrialization. “We want to build the Amasaman municipality through industrialization,” he said. “Industries should come and collaborate with the assembly, and we can jointly build basic infrastructure that would benefit the municipality.”
Hon. Sowah Nai also shared his vision for utilizing available spaces in the municipality as recreational centers. “We can situate AstroTurf pitches and other facilities where the youth can engage in sporting activities,” he said. He believes this would provide opportunities for young people to develop their talents and stay engaged in positive pursuits.
