The 2025 Super Volleyball Championship served up an electrifying opener at the Borteyman Sports Complex as the Ghana Army Women faced the Ghana Airforce Women.
The atmosphere was charged, with fans filling the arena and both teams coming out aggressively. Airforce snatched the first set 18–25 after a fierce exchange of points.
The intensity carried into the second set, with both sides determined to claim the tournament’s first victory. Army, however, held their ground and battled back to level the match, sealing the set with 25 points.

Airforce faltered in the third set, committing crucial errors that shifted momentum. Army capitalized fully, taking control and securing the set 25–20 to complete the comeback.

With confidence soaring, the Army side pushed for a decisive win in the fourth set. Sargent Zigah Pius, part of the coaching staff, was vocal on the sidelines, driving his players to finish strong.
