Ghanaians can now buy Acts of Parliament, the Constitution and other official publications online and have them delivered to their locations without travelling to Accra.
This follows the introduction of an online bookshop by Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) to make government publications more accessible to the public.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Monday, October 19, 2026, the Managing Director of GPCL, Nana Kwasi Boatey, Esq., said the initiative was intended to reduce the difficulties people face in obtaining copies of Ghana’s laws.

He explained that people living outside Accra often had to travel long distances to purchase Acts of Parliament and other publications, sometimes spending more on transportation than on the documents themselves.
According to him, the company’s limited physical presence across the country had also created opportunities for the unauthorised printing and sale of Acts of Parliament.
He said the online bookshop would make it easier for individuals and institutions to obtain genuine copies of these publications directly from GPCL.

Under the new system, customers can visit GPCL’s website, select the publications they need, place their orders and have them delivered to their preferred locations.
The service covers publications sold at GPCL’s Business Centre, including Acts of Parliament and copies of the Constitution.
The Managing Director noted that the initiative was partly in response to requests from members of the public for easier access to government publications.
He added that GPCL was also working to improve electronic access to its publications.

The online bookshop is expected to reduce the time and cost involved in obtaining official publications, particularly for people living outside Accra.
The initiative forms part of GPCL’s efforts to use technology to improve access to its services across the country.
