Members of Bawumia Fun Club from the Dome- Kwabena Constituency have on Friday picked forms for Dr. MahamudU Bawumia to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer race.
The group was led by a Patron of the Club, Ntim Zakari who was at the NPP Headquarters to pick the forms on behalf of the Vice President.
Mr. Ntim Zakari in an interview with GHOne TV indicated that the amount for the forms were paid for by the Fun Club.
“We are all here to support the Bawumia fund club and make sure that we pick the forms and present it to our special candidate that we know Isah Allah by 2025 he is going to be our sitting President,” the Patron added.
The NPP has announced that its presidential primaries nomination will be opened on May 26, 2023.
In a press release dated May 25, 2023 and signed by the NPP General Secretary, Justin Kodua-Frimpong indicated that National Executive Committee and National Council approved timelines during a meeting held on Monday April 3, 2023.
“Nomination will be closed on Saturday June 24, 2023, special electoral college election if any will be held on August 26, 2023 anf the National Congress also on Saturday November 4, 2023,” the General Secretary stated.
