Hong Kong-based social e-commerce company IGNITE is seeking to expand its footprint across Africa, using a portfolio of wellness, lifestyle and artificial intelligence-powered educational products alongside a business model that allows individuals to market products and build their own businesses.
According to the company, which integrates technology into everyday life to promote wellness, lifestyle and financial empowerment, Ghana will serve as its main hub for West Africa as it pursues expansion into more African markets.
During a visit to IGNITE’s office in Malaysia, EIB Network broadcast journalists Tutuwaa Danso and Ekow Annan were taken through a detailed presentation of the company’s business model and product portfolio by its product specialist, Dr Shafi Shaik, who demonstrated some of its wellness, lifestyle and AI-powered products.
Dr Shafi Shaik said the company offers products ranging from wellness devices and luxury watches to AI-powered educational courses, while providing individuals with an opportunity to participate in its social commerce model.
According to Dr Shaik, individuals can join the company’s social enterprise programme by selecting a product from its portfolio, with opportunities to market products and develop their own businesses.
Among the products showcased were the SANARE Activa, a pen-shaped device marketed as part of the company’s energy and wellness range; the Simetra glass disc, which the company says is designed to interact with drinking water; and the BR-9, a full-body wellness mat.
“The SANARE Activa is a pen-sized energy wand filled with crystal powders. It is designed to help reduce pain or discomfort in the joints and muscles, either by rubbing it directly on the affected area or rotating it clockwise,” he said.
He also described the Simetra disc as a product intended to structure or energise water.
“Simetra is a glass disc made of minerals and crystals. It is designed to energise or structure the water we drink to support cellular hydration.”
“We also have the BR-9, or Bio-Resonance 9 mat. You can place it directly on your mattress, cover it with a bedsheet and lie on it. It is designed to help with grounding or earthing, which is associated with stress relief,” he noted.
The company also presented its Brushro AI-powered toothbrush, which features multiple brushing modes and an accompanying application designed to track brushing movements and provide feedback to users.
Its lifestyle portfolio includes Sena luxury watches, which Dr Shaik said are assembled in Malaysia.
While highlighting the products, Dr Shaik outlined the company’s plans to deepen its presence across the African market, identifying Ghana as a strategic base for its West African operations.
Dr Shaik also confirmed the appointment of Ghanaian media entrepreneur and CEO of EIB Network, Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, popularly known as Bola Ray, to IGNITE’s Global Advisory Board, where he serves as the company’s strategic partner for Sub-Saharan Africa.
“We want to expand significantly across Africa, starting with Ghana. We recently appointed Mr Bola Ray to our Global Advisory Board. We also have a presence in Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire and other West African markets, but Ghana will serve as our main hub for the sub-region. Soon, we intend to have our products shipped across Africa, reaching millions of people on the continent.”
Dr Shaik encouraged Africans interested in the company’s products and business model to explore the opportunity through its official website, joinignite.com.
IGNITE’s model combines product sales with social commerce and brand affiliation, offering participants an opportunity to market products and develop business activities around the company’s portfolio.
