Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, has launched the Kasoa Investment Readiness & Capital Access Pipeline (KIRCAP), an initiative aimed at helping businesses in Kasoa become investment-ready and access funding opportunities locally and internationally.
The non-partisan initiative seeks to support businesses to strengthen their organisational structures, improve their investment readiness and connect with suitable capital providers.
Speaking at the launching event, the MP revealed that KIRCAP has identified an international funding opportunity worth approximately US$57 million for eligible technology-driven businesses.

She clarified that KIRCAP will neither control nor distribute the funds, stressing that investment decisions will remain with the relevant capital providers and will be subject to independent assessment and due diligence.
According to Ms Okunor, the initiative is intended to reposition Kasoa beyond its status as a major commercial community and establish it as a destination for investment, innovation and sustainable employment.

She described KIRCAP as a “permanent bridge” connecting entrepreneurs in Kasoa to global capital, expertise and growth opportunities.
The MP further announced that businesses currently operating outside Kasoa would have to establish an outlet or operational presence in the municipality to qualify for the initiative.
She stressed that participation would involve no middlemen and no fees, urging interested businesses to submit their expressions of interest directly to KIRCAP.

Ms Okunor said the initiative forms part of her vision to promote purposeful and transformational leadership while creating new opportunities for entrepreneurs and businesses in the Awutu Senya East constituency.
She expressed optimism about Kasoa’s economic prospects, saying purposeful leadership and a united community could help unlock a brighter future for the area.
