One of the leading drama and theatre productions companies in Ghana, Globe Productions and its playwright Latif Abubakar, have given the strongest indication yet to thrill cherished patrons with super-exciting and exhilarating performance in their first of the tri annual plays.

Globe last year successfully promoted social change through drama on issues such as Galamsey, first aid and non-violence that have won universal praise and high commendation and attracted about 20,000 patrons across the country.

The latest Latif Abubakar play dubbed MEN “DON” DIE! is a road safety campaign initiative by Globe Productions in partnership with Presec@80 Anniversary and the National Road Safety Commission. The objectives of the play are to educate people on road safety and highlight the negative effects of road accidents on the society and nation building. The play will feature actors such as Adjetey Annan and Ecow Smith-Asante. It is happening live at the Accra International Conference Centre on 28th and 29th of April. Two Shows each night, 4pm and 8pm. Grab your tickets now at GHS 80 per show.

Tickets available at Koala, Silver Bird, Junction Mall, Joy FM, Haatso and Baatsona Total, Shell shops at Sakaman, Airport, East Legon and Tema Comm. 11.Tickets Hotline 0275 027 000

Men Don Die! is sponsored by Endela logistics, Yomi Yoghurt, First Trust Savings and Loans and Veraldo drinks.

Media partners, Graphic Communications Group, TV3, TV Africa, GHONE, Citi FM, Citi FM Online, Graphic Showbiz and Ghanaian Times.

Speaking to journalists in Accra, the playwright and producer, Latif Abubakar promised patrons of spiced-up performances of plays and entreated all to attend with families and friends. To him, happiness is a God given right that all must seek to embrace. “That’s precisely the mission of Globe Productions, to keep touching lives and making people happy. To help them appreciate life by distressing themselves from the exigencies of the times”

The play tells a story of two couples who set off on a long journey in an ‘aro-glass’. One for their marriage and the other on their way for a divorce, all happening in some few hours, this becomes a dooms day event when their vehicle gets stuck in the middle of a road. What then becomes of their fate?

Abandoned and lost, the ensuing events expose their characteristics and objectives in the play.  The play seeks to advocate a road safety campaign and has a theme ‘’ There is always light, no matter the situation” which lays credence to the saying “In thy light we shall see light”.
