One more person has been arrested by the police in connection with the gruesome murder of late Major Maxwell Adam Mahama.
Confirming the arrest to Asempa FM Tuesday, the spokesperson of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), ASP Olivia Turkson said the Brong-Ahafo Police Command informed the office of the CID about the arrest of the alleged suspect, but are yet to be fed with additional information.
“I can say for now that our colleagues at the Brong-Ahafo region have made an arrest of someone whom they suspect to have something to do with the unfortunate murder of the late military man,” ASP Turkson stated.
The police as part of their investigations into the heinous murder of the 32-year-old placed 12 principal actors on its wanted list and are entreating the general public to assist the state security service with any information that can lead to the arrest of the alleged suspects.
Fifty-two suspects are currently in police custody for allegedly taking part in the lynching of the late military commander.
Major Mahama was given a state burial on Friday, June 9, 2017.
