President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to prioritise the completion of the long-delayed two-storey Oti Regional Coordinating Council (ORCC) Administration Block as part of efforts to strengthen government presence and service delivery in the region.
Addressing residents during his tour of the Oti Region on Friday, July 25, Mahama acknowledged the prolonged delay in finishing the project and announced that he has already directed the Minister for Local Government, Decentralization, and Chieftaincy to ensure its completion is treated as a matter of urgency.
“Completing the 2-storey Oti Regional Coordinating Council (ORCC) Administration Block has been delayed for too long. I have directed the Minister for Local Government, Decentralization, and Chieftaincy to prioritize its completion,” he stated.
Mahama also revealed that the absence of an official residence for the Oti Regional Minister is being addressed under the broader Government Accommodation Redevelopment Scheme, which is targeted at all six newly created regions.

“We will ensure that the government presence is fully established in every area,” he added.
The renewed commitment forms part of a larger push to enhance civic infrastructure and decentralised governance across the country’s newer regions. It also underscores the administration’s focus on equity in regional development and institutional accessibility.
