Ghana’s rising female weightlifting star, Marie Korkor Agbah-Hughes, has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious Airbnb Athlete Travel Grant, a joint initiative by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
The grant, worth $2,000, aims to support athletes worldwide in covering essential travel needs as they pursue their sporting careers and represent their nations on the international stage.
Marie’s recognition places her among a distinguished group of athletes benefiting from Airbnb’s global partnership with the IOC and IPC, which seeks to break down barriers by providing athletes with flexible support as they prepare for qualification events, training camps, and international competitions.
