The Member of Parliament for Suame, John Darko has pledged the minority caucus in parliament, New Patriotic Party (NPP) will not obstruct the administration of the ruling National Democratic Congress under His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking on GHOne TV with Lily Mohammed, the first time MP discussed the challenges ahead for his party as they work to present themselves as a viable alternative to the current government.
Mr. John Darko acknowledged that the road to success will not be easy but expressed confidence that his party’s message would resonate with the people of Ghana.
“It is not going to be an easy task ahead. I know it will be tough. We will sell our message to the people of Ghana. We will show them we are a better alternative,” he stated.
The Suame MP also made it clear that his party’s approach would not involve undermining the efforts of the current government.
He pledged that they would offer their support to ensure the success of the government, as a prosperous nation benefit everyone.
“We are not going to do anything to obstruct their government. We will do any and everything to help the government succeed. When Mahama succeeds, the nation succeeds and all of us succeed,” he said.
While his party remains committed to providing an alternative vision for Ghana, Mr. Darko emphasized that they hope for the success of President John Mahama’s administration, as strong leadership contributes to national progress.
