Voting is currently underway in the Ayawaso East Constituency as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) conducts its presidential primary to elect a flagbearer for the 2028 general elections today, January 31, 2026.
Accredited delegates in the constituency began casting their ballots early this morning, with party officials reporting a smooth and orderly process at the designated voting centre.
Five aspirants are contesting the race: Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyepong.
