Former Energy Minister, Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko has congratulated John Boadu on his election as National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In a statement issued on October 4, 2026, Agyarko described the delegates’ decision as “a profound reaffirmation of our proud democratic tradition, internal vitality, and collective commitment to the future of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo family.”
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Mr. John Boadu on his election as the National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.
“The delegates have reposed their trust and mandate in him to steer the affairs of our party, and I wish him wisdom, strength, and great success in this pivotal responsibility,” he said.
Agyarko affirmed his full and resolute support for Chairman John Boadu, the newly elected National Executive Committee, and Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
He reiterated that the party’s “supreme, non-negotiable objective” remains a total and decisive victory in the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.
“I dedicate myself to working hand-in-hand with the leadership and our grassroots across all 16 regions to realize this noble mission and return our party to government to serve the great people of Ghana,” he stated.
He also commended the NPP National Elections Committee, the Electoral Commission of Ghana, and the security services for ensuring a smooth, transparent, and peaceful election process.
He also congratulated the newly elected national executives across various offices, stating that their victories represent “a collective call to duty, service, and sacrifice.”
Agyarko, who came second in the chairmanship race, also expressed deep gratitude to his campaign team, volunteers, constituency chairpersons and executives, and the thousands of delegates across the country and the diaspora who supported his bid.
“Your loyalty, passion, and sacrifices for our party will never be in vain…you conducted this campaign with dignity, vigour, and unyielding love for our party,” he said.
Emphasizing party cohesion, Agyarko stressed that internal contests within the NPP are “not battles between adversaries; they are family contests among brothers and sisters committed to the same sacred cause.”
He declared that there are “no individual victors or vanquished — it is the New Patriotic Party that has emerged victorious.”
He further rallied the rank and file of the party to campaign for victory, urging that “the election is behind us, and the time for consolidation begins immediately.”
“The challenges ahead of our nation and party require closing ranks, binding every wound, and presenting an impenetrable, united front,” he added.
Agyarko concluded with a call for the party to “rise together as one indivisible elephant family, united in purpose, discipline, and fellowship,” ending with the traditional prayer: “God bless the New Patriotic Party, And God bless our homeland Ghana.”
