The management of Brother Tarcisius Prosthetics and Orthotics Training College (BTPOTC) in Nsawam, Eastern Region, is celebrating a remarkable academic milestone achieved by one of its students, Mr. Jefferson Adu-Gyamfi.
Jefferson Adu-Gyamfi was declared the overall best graduating student at the 11th Graduation Ceremony for Ministry of Health Training Institutions in Ghana, organized by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on Tuesday, 30th April 2025 at the KNUST Great Hall, Kumasi.
Out of over 16,500 graduating students from various health training institutions across the country, Jefferson Adu-Gyamfi distinguished himself with an impressive Cumulative Weighted Average (CWA) of 83.6%, earning him the highest academic honour of the event.
In a statement, the Principal of BTPOTC, Mr. Henry Larbi, described the achievement as both proud and historic for the college.
“This is a proud and historic moment for our college. It’s not about the numbers but the quality — and Jefferson has demonstrated what excellence, discipline, and dedication can achieve,” he said.
Mr. Larbi further acknowledged the collective efforts of the college’s dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff in contributing to this academic feat.
“The team at BTPOTC continues to build a culture of excellence, empowering students to rise to national and global standards in prosthetics and orthotics. This recognition affirms that we are on the right path,” he added.
Brother Tarcisius Prosthetics and Orthotics Training College, located at Adoagyiri Nsawam, offers a Diploma in Prosthetics and Orthotics Technology programme, accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Ministry of Health.
Management congratulated Jefferson Adu-Gyamfi for his outstanding performance and extended appreciation to its entire faculty and staff for their tireless commitment to academic and professional excellence.
