Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo, has commended the condition of the Accra Sports Stadium pitch, expressing his satisfaction ahead of Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad.
The coach previously voiced concerns about the pitch when Ghana hosted some of its 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers at the venue in 2024.
Coach Otto Addo speaking in his pre match press conference believes the condition of the pitch is important and will benefit his team heading into the crucial World Cup qualification match against Chad.
“I’m very happy that the pitch looks much much better. For me, this is very important. I think now we are on a good path and I know that we will create a lot of chances and the goals will come,” coach Otto Addo said on Friday during his pre-match press conference.
Otto Addo is determined to secure a victory to strengthen the Black Stars’ position at the top of Group I.
The match between Ghana and Chad is scheduled to kick off at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21.
