Global direct selling company QNET has condemned a criminal operation uncovered by Ghana’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID) that was falsely using its name.

The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the CID last week rescued 110 victims, mostly Cameroonians and Ivorians- from a compound at Kuntunse in the Greater Accra Region.

According to the police, the victims had been deceived by individuals posing as QNET representatives who promised lucrative job and travel opportunities.

In a statement, QNET said it had no connection with the operation and fully supported ongoing investigations. The company commended the CID for its “swift and decisive action” and reiterated that it is a legitimate global direct selling business offering lifestyle and wellness products through a regulated model.

“We share the CID’s commitment to protecting lives and restoring public trust,” said Biram Fall, Regional General Manager for QNET Sub-Saharan Africa. “QNET operates on integrity, transparency, and education—and we remain relentless in exposing and dismantling fraudulent networks misusing our name.”

Growing Concern Over Scam Activities

The company said the latest incident highlights a growing problem of fraudsters misusing its brand and products to deceive unsuspecting individuals through fake job offers, travel opportunities, and online investment schemes.

QNET stressed that it does not recruit staff through informal channels, nor does it offer visas or overseas employment. It warned the public to be cautious of anyone claiming to represent the company in such matters.

Collaboration with Law Enforcement

QNET said it is working closely with Ghanaian authorities, including the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and the CID, to combat scams and protect consumers.

Recent efforts include the establishment of a QNET Compliance Office in Accra, inaugurated by COP Lydia Donkor, to serve as a direct liaison with law enforcement and regulatory agencies. The company has also launched the QNET–EOCO Anti-Scam Campaign and plans to roll out a nationwide education roadshow to raise public awareness on fraudulent schemes.

Reporting Scam Activities

Members of the public who encounter suspected scam activities are urged to report them to the following official channels:

QNET

  • WhatsApp: +233 256 630 005
  • Email: network.integrity@qnet.net

EOCO

  • Email: eoco@eoco.gov.gh
  • WhatsApp: +233 579 709 066
  • Telephone: +233 547 419 419
  • Social Media: @EOCOghana (Facebook, X, Instagram)

QNET reaffirmed its commitment to working with Ghanaian authorities to eradicate fraudulent schemes and uphold the integrity of legitimate direct selling in the country.
