QNET, a global e-commerce and direct selling company, has officially opened its dedicated Compliance Office in East Legon, marking a significant step in its ongoing fight against fraud and misinformation in the region.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Naana Quartey, QNET’s Head of Compliance, described the new office as a vital hub for accountability, enforcement, and public protection.
“This office will not only respond to fraud. It will work to prevent it,” she stated.
The event was attended by representatives from Ghana’s security and regulatory agencies, including EOCO, the Police, and the Ghana Immigration Service, along with members of the media.
Ms. Quartey emphasized the company’s three core commitments through the new office: ensuring accountability by engaging with regulatory bodies, enforcing ethical conduct among QNET’s independent distributors, and protecting the public from fraudulent schemes that misuse the QNET name.
The establishment of the Compliance Office comes in response to rising concerns over criminal syndicates misrepresenting the company to exploit vulnerable individuals. QNET’s leadership reaffirmed its readiness to take disciplinary action and support prosecutions where necessary.
“We are grateful to EOCO and other agencies for their continued support in helping us uphold the truth and protect the public,” Ms. Quartey concluded.
The new office is expected to serve as a central contact point for all legal and regulatory matters related to QNET’s operations in Ghana.
