QNET, a global wellness and lifestyle company, has cautioned the public against falling victim to individuals posing as its representatives and promising jobs, scholarships, or travel opportunities abroad.
The company says these claims are false and fraudulent, warning that QNET is not a recruitment or travel agency but a direct-selling business focused on wellness and lifestyle products.
Speaking in an interview on Morning Starr on Starr FM on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, QNET’s Global Compliance Officer, Theodocia Naana Quartey, described the growing trend of impersonation and job scams as alarming and urged Ghanaians to verify any claims before making payments or sharing personal information.
“If someone promises you a job abroad or asks you to pay money in QNET’s name, it’s fake,” she stressed. “QNET is a wellness and lifestyle company that uses a direct-selling model. We sell products through word-of-mouth; we don’t recruit people for foreign jobs or scholarships.”
Ms. Quartey revealed that several young people, including some Francophone nationals, have fallen victim to syndicates using the company’s name to defraud unsuspecting individuals. Many were reportedly lured with fake offers of employment or study opportunities overseas.
“We found people who had been deceived with promises of travel and education abroad. It’s heartbreaking to see people lose their life savings to such scams,” she said.

To help combat the growing wave of fraud, QNET has partnered with the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and other law enforcement agencies to clamp down on the imposters. The collaboration, which includes a Memorandum of Understanding with EOCO, has led to an increase in investigations and reports of fraudulent activity
“EOCO came through because they saw that the fight was too big for us,” Ms. Quartey explained. “Since our partnership began, there’s been an upsurge in reports and some major arrests, including one in Banso where victims were rescued.”
She also announced that QNET has opened a physical compliance office on Lagos Avenue in East Legon, Accra, to enhance transparency and assist the public and authorities with accurate information.
“We are not hiding. Anyone can walk in and make inquiries about the company or report suspicious activities,” she noted.

Ms. Quartey encouraged Ghanaians to remain alert and verify information before engaging with anyone claiming to represent QNET, emphasizing that legitimate distributors can be confirmed through the company’s official website or hotline.
“At the end of the day, it’s the ordinary Ghanaian who suffers,” she said. “We want to protect people from losing their hard-earned money to fraudsters.”
