The University for Development Studies (UDS) has strongly refuted a misleading TikTok video alleging that its students enter examination halls with pre-prepared answer sheets.
In an official statement, UDS described the claim as “false and malicious,” emphasizing the institution’s unwavering commitment to academic integrity.
The university assured the public that it upholds strict examination policies designed to ensure fairness, credibility, and transparency. It further stressed that its students undergo rigorous academic training, and all examinations are closely monitored to maintain the institution’s long-standing reputation.
“This false allegation is not only an attack on our integrity but also an attempt to tarnish the reputation of our students, faculty, and the university as a whole,” the statement read.
UDS has demanded that the creators of the defamatory content immediately retract the video and issue a public apology. The institution warned that failure to do so could result in legal action to protect its image and credibility.
While recognizing the power of digital media, the university urged content creators to act responsibly, stressing that misinformation and sensationalism can have serious consequences.
“We urge creators to verify their claims before publication and avoid content that spreads falsehoods or damages reputations,” the statement added.
UDS called on the public to disregard the misleading content and reaffirmed its commitment to providing quality higher education guided by the principles of academic excellence and integrity.
