The Vice President of Ghana, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has extended her best wishes to candidates sitting for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), encouraging them to approach the exams with confidence and integrity.
In a statement on Monday, May 4, 2026, she expressed optimism about the preparedness of students across the country.
“Her Excellency the Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, on behalf of Government, extends best wishes to all students writing the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) this week,” the statement said.
The Vice President noted that the candidates’ years of preparation would guide them to success.
She further urged students to remain focused and uphold strong values during the examination period.
“She encourages all candidates to approach the examination with confidence, honesty and determination,” the statement emphasised.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang also acknowledged the contributions of key stakeholders in the education sector, including the Ghana Education Service, teachers, and parents, for their roles in preparing candidates for the exams.
“The Vice President commends the Ghana Education Service, teachers, parents and all stakeholders for their dedicated efforts towards preparing our students,” the statement noted.
She also called on examination officials to ensure a credible process by adhering to high standards.
