Gospel musician Sonnie Badu has revealed that he was not doing gimmicks last year to draw attention but then, he was amputated and traumatized.
Narrating the incident, Sonnie Badu disclosed that he was caught between balancing a fall with either his foot or head which would result in his death if he fell on his head.
Even though undergoing surgery on his leg, Badu performed at a concert, leading to speculation on social media that his injury was a publicity stunt to draw attention to the event.
Speaking on the Morning Starr with Naa Dedei Tettey, Sonnie Badu revealed that his leg injury resulted in the loss of two of his toes, leaving him traumatized. And so, he was not seeking attention from the public.
“I got amputated. I lost two toes so it was not a hyping thing or trying to seek attention. I was literally in pain” he said
He further revealed that God gave him the strength to minister at his concert which is why people think he faked his injury.
“I understand why they felt it was fake because of the strength God gave me. And I kept quiet about it because it wasn’t time to talk about the injury. I was still traumatized. In fact, I was still embarrassed about it.
