Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has emphasized that his team is gearing up for a challenging showdown against Chad on Friday as Ghana hosts them in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
This comes despite acknowledging that their Group I opponent in the World Cup qualifiers is not among the top teams.
During his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Coach Otto Addo emphasized the need for vigilance on matchday and urged Ghanaians to rally behind the team to ensure victory.
“I know Chad is not a top team but believe me it’s not going to be easy. We need all the support we can get,” coach Otto Addo said.
Coach Otto Addo and his team must secure a win to boost their chances of climbing from third to first in the Group I standings by the end of the matchday.
Ghana will host Madagascar on Friday, March 21, in Round 5 of the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
