The Yamoransa Model (YM) Labs Program, funded by the Helping Africa Foundation (HAF) and managed by IMPLEMENTERS, has announced the fifth edition of its Annual Impact Roundtable Discussions (AIRTAD) and Robotics Competition.

The event is scheduled to take place from February 24 to 27, 2026, with the main convening set for February 26–27 at the Cedi Conference Centre, University of Ghana, Legon.

Under the theme, “Shaping Tomorrow’s Workforce Through Education and Innovation,” the 2026 edition marks five years of AIRTAD, celebrating the transformational impact of the Yamoransa Model Labs Program while advancing discussions on the future of STEAM education and workforce readiness in Africa.

Since its establishment, AIRTAD has evolved into a leading education platform that brings together students, educators, policymakers, development partners, and private sector actors. The event showcases student-led innovation, assesses education outcomes, and supports collaborative efforts toward building a future-ready African workforce.

The platform also highlights the achievements of the Yamoransa Model Labs Program, which was launched in 2016 to expand access to ICT, STEAM, and digital skills education in underserved communities across Ghana, Liberia, and The Gambia. Through hands-on learning, robotics, and innovation-driven initiatives, the program equips primary, junior, and senior high school students with skills relevant to the digital economy.

The 2026 edition will feature robotics competitions, high-level roundtable discussions, exhibitions, debates, career pathway conversations, mentorship sessions, and an awards ceremony recognising student excellence and creativity across West Africa.

Activities will be held in two phases. Preliminary robotics quiz competitions and exhibitions will take place on February 24–25 at Academic City University. The main AIRTAD convening, including roundtable discussions, competition finals, debates, mentorship sessions, exhibitions, and award presentations, will be held on February 26–27 at the Cedi Conference Centre, University of Ghana.

Organisers describe AIRTAD as a trusted platform for fostering critical conversations on education over the past five years. The 2026 edition aims to expand its scope and reach, with media organisations, partners, and stakeholders invited to participate.

For media coverage, partnership opportunities, and general enquiries, organisers have provided the following contacts: communications@theimplementers.org or 020-0119-132 / 050-144-8770. Additional information on registration and participation is available at www.yamoransamodel.org and www.theimplementers.org.
