The National Sports Authority (NSA) has revealed that the Accra Sports Stadium will be a venue for movie producers to premiere their products anytime soon.
According to the Director General of the NSA, Joe Kpenge, this decision has become necessary to enable his outfit to defray some huge outstanding costs as well as generate extra income to maintain the national edifice.
“We have been thinking about finding ways to generate revenue to run our activities so we are now trying to see if we can be showing films or premiering movies here to get some revenue,” Kpenge told Starr Sports.
The NSA for the past two years have been struggling to maintain the state property to an extent that electricity supply to it offices have been cut off for so many months.
However, the newly appointed Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah has promised to empower the institution in its operation by placing all sports disciplines under it so they could get some financial benefits during his term.
