The Chief Executive Officer of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission George Smith-Graham has resigned.
In a letter to the Presidency, Mr. Graham stated that his resignation takes effect from May 9, 2017 and is expected to give a three months’ notice per his contract.
Mr. Graham was appointed in 2011 by the late President Mills to supervise the implementation of the Single Spine Salary Structure.
“By this letter, I wish to serve the required length of notice of three months…it was a great honour to serve my country as the Chief Executive of FWSC over the last eight years,”
“During my tenure, I enjoyed the support of a dedicated team made up of Directors and staff of FWSC, as well as Organised Labour and the Ministries of Employment, Finance among others.
“I am very grateful to the Presidency and every person/institution that gave and continue to give me the needed support for the successful implementation of the SSPP.”
