Co-host of Starr drive, Anita Erskine has been unveiled as the face of the 2017 edition of the Starr Woman Project which comes off on Friday, March 31, 2017 in Kumasi at the Law Faculty  of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

The “Starr Woman Project” is an extension of ‘The Zone’ which seeks to equip young women entrepreneurs with the relevant knowledge, skill and motivation to achieve their fullest potential as entrepreneurs.

The maiden edition which took place in April 2016, focused on the theme “Getting the Basics Right as A Young Female Entrepreneur” with stakeholders elaborating on issues relating to women empowerment.

Having hosted three successful events, the project provided a high level networking platform for influential women entrepreneurs to exchange ideas and dialogue on issues related to entrepreneurship and leadership.

The Starr Woman Project 2017 which is under the theme ‘Dare to Stand Out’ will be hosted in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi.

Host of the zone and maiden host of the Starr Woman project, Naa Ashorkor told Anita Erskine in a phone conversation on Starr drive that the project started from a simple conversation with colleagues on the zone and became a huge event touching the lives of women entrepreneurs.

“Well it all started as a simple conversation with my colleagues, David, Mono and Miriam on the Zone. We wanted to come up with a project that will enable women succeed as entrepreneurs by living their dreams and I’m glad this project has come this far to stay and it keeps growing bigger and better every step of the way”.

Taking over as the new face of the project, Anita Erskine, expressed her excitement and assured to deliver her very best.

“I am very excited and grateful for the support and all, I’m glad Access Bank is on board to support the Starr Woman Project and we look forward to a great partnership”.
