The embattled principal of the Tepa Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Victoria Amoah is yet to honour the invitation by the Tepa Divisional Police Command to appear before it to answer allegations of fraud levelled against her and one other.
Madam Amoah was invited by the Divisional Police Command Wednesday for questioning following an expose’ by Ultimate FM which fingered her and the accountant of the college, Asamoah Richard in a GHS10million financial misappropriation.
The two administrative members allegedly used fake receipts and invoices to milk the government institution during every admission year, according to the expose’.
The alleged corrupt practice began in 2011 two years after the college was established, warranting the Command’s invitation of Madam Amoah—but she has ignored it as at yet.
Confirming the development Thursday in an interview on Class FM, the Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Thomas Pawdu said “We are still waiting for them to report.”
According to him, the command is supposed to get information from the said administrative members of the college regarding the alleged malfeasance but “as at now we haven’t got the principal, we haven’t got the accountant. So we are making efforts to locate them.”
