Ghana football legend Abedi Ayew Pele has said he gets excited whenever he sees his children play football for both club and country.
The former Black Stars captain maintained it is always a joy to watch his kids emulate what he did years ago at the top level.
“It’s a great feeling when I sit back and watch them play in top clubs, I just feel good. I’m a proud father of these boys and I’m certainly grateful to God,” Abedi told AOIFootball.com.
The Maestro has three male children namely Andre Dede Ayew, Jordan Ayew, and Rahim Ayew who play at the national levels.
“I must say I have mixed feelings. When they win and maybe score a goal, I feel great, happy and proud and when they lose and are not doing well at competitions or at club level, I feel worse, though the joy of having to see them at the same level I played is ecstatic,” the former Al-Ain player noted.
The former Olympique Marseille player’s three sons have 129 caps with the Black Stars with Andre Ayew featuring the most times with 75 appearances for Ghana.
