The Dutchman, who took over at Selhurst Park back in June, lost all four of his opening Premier League matches in charge of Palace, with his side failing to score a single goal.
De Boer’s future appeared in serious doubt as Palace slumped to a 1-0 defeat away at Burnley on Sunday and the Eagles have now announced the 47-year-old’s departure.
Asked about speculation surrounding his future after this weekend’s defeat, De Boer said: ‘I’m focussing on what I can control and that was this.
‘I will probably speak to Steve [Parish] on the phone tonight as we normally do, and I meet with him in the week.
‘All I can do is work hard with the boys and I will do that until the end, and hopefully that will be a long time.’
