Ghana’s U-17 female team coach, Evans Adotey is confident the Black Maidens will wallop their Gambian counterparts by the same 5-1 scoreline when they visit Cape Coast two weeks time.
The Black Maidens on Saturday in Bakau, defeated their Gambian counterparts 5-1 in their FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier.
Coach Adotey believes without complacency setting in the return leg the girls could repeat the same dosage.
“I am thankful to my girls for playing to my game plan but just wish they repeat the same scoreline for our next opponents to fear us which they can easily do”, Adotey told Starr Sports
Abdulai Mukarama scored four goals after Nina Norshie put Ghana ahead just two minutes into the game.
Fatouma Sowe got the consolation goal for Gambia
Winner of the two-legged tie will face Djibouti in the next stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers for a place in the tournament to be staged in Uruguay from 13 November to 1 December 2018.
