Nana Obuo Nketiaa II has refused to have a comprehensive consultations with the 10 Asona Stool Occupants who are a major stakeholder in the nomination process as captured in the diagram below.
This has created pandemonium in Akropong with a major chieftaincy struggle between two individuals and followers who have all been installed simultaneously in the same town as chiefs occupying the same stool.
NANA KWADWO KESSE’S INSTALLATION
The diagram above shows the systematic and procedural directive of installing the rightful heir and chief of Akropong who doubles as the Okuapemman Hene. However, these due processes have not been adhered to and grievously breached by the Queen mother, Nana Obuo Nketiaa II who seem not to be finding her way out of the whole installation process.
The Queen Mother nominated Kwesi Akuffo without recourse to the, Abrewa Tia and confined without recourse to the Kingmakers.
The Abrewa Tia subsequently also met the King-Makers and nominated Kwadwo Kesse not going through the Queen Mother and the King-Makers accepted him and went through the process for confinement.
Both currently in confinement Kwesi Akuffo and Kwadwo Kesse did not go through all the laid down accepted procedure as required by tradition.
All traditional, opinion leaders and all stakeholders must help find a solution to this chieftaincy impasse looming on the ridge.
