‘Kill Stress or Stress Will Kill You’ is one of the popular phrases that many corporate institutions are taking very serious in recent times.
This is because many employers have realised that the best can only be retrieved from an always refreshed staff.
Management of OmniBank in its bid to ensure its staff and their families are always in shape for the tedious banking duties have organised a family day out event.
The event which was held at the AH Hotel at East Legon was to also mark the universal Children’s Day.
Activities held on the day included Children Movies, Face Painting, Bouncy Castle among others.
The staff were coached on the theme: ‘Effective care for children, managing stress and work- life balance” by the President of the Accra College of Medicine, Prof. Adwoa Jectey Afua Hesse.
She admonished the parents to ensure that they do not over burden children with tedious tasks that make them not to enjoy their childhood.
For her, many parents are not allowing their children to have the fulfillment of childhood because of their work schedules; leaving home early and coming late with the children.
On the part of the Head of Human resource at OmniBank, Andrew Manomey, the initiative will be more beneficial if it is made an annual event.
“We will push at management level to make it an annual event,” he told Starr Business.
