Ghana’s Ambassador to Algeria, His Excellency Nana Kwasi Arhin has urged the Black Satellites to defeat their Algerian counterparts in Friday’s 2019 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualification.
Nana Kwesi paid a special visit to the Ghana National U-20 Team, Black Satellite, at their team hotel in Algiers on Wednesday afternoon ahead of the game.
Executive Committee Member of the GFA and Chairman of the U-20 Management Committee, Alhaji Dauda Sadugu Yahaya, met Nana Kwasi on arrival with coach Jimmy Cobblah and captain Ishaaku Konda representing the technical team and playing body respectively.
Nana Kwasi, who came in the company of his staff, told the players they must confront the Fennec Foxes with determination.
“I believe that since you (Black Satellite team) are here you are representing Ghana and nobody else”
“We should always know that we have a proud country. We don’t have any option apart from success.
“The other option is failure and nobody wants failure. We should just strive beyond our utmost best. If you strive beyond the best then it means you are going to strive for excellence and anything which is excellent is successful,” Nana Kwasi said.
Ghana failed to qualify for the last edition of the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations which was hosted by Zambia in 2017 under Coach Didi Dramani.
