NDC Presidential hopeful Dr. Ekwow Spio Gabrah has said he can run the economy of Ghana without natural resources.
According to him, the brain power of Ghanaians is enough for him to successfully manage the state.
“Forget the natural resources, even if there are no natural resources and you give me the people of Ghana alone, I can run the economy. Because I know the potential of the Ghanaian. I know the rich brain and ability of the Ghanaian and that’s all you need,” the former Trade minister told Morning Starr host Francis Abban Thursday.
The former Chief Executive Officer of Action Chapel International also said his relationship with NDC founder JJ Rawlings is as good as it is with other leaders of the party.
“My relationship with ex-President Rawlings and the former leaders of the party is as good as can be. I can say it’s excellent. I don’t know what word they will use to describe their relationship with me”.
Commenting on his presidential campaign, the communications expert dispelled claims that he is arrogant.
“I don’t believe in impossibilities. Things will go well with me. NDC needs competition. Competition is good for the party and the candidates. I am humble and a very self-sacrificial person. My being a President of Ghana will happen by the Grace of God”.
Spio-Gabrah will contest for the NDC ticket with fellow party faithful such as Alban Bagbin, Sylvester Mensah, Dr. Joshua Alabi and possibly former President John Mahama, who is yet to declare his “ political future”.
