The maiden edition of this year’s Kasoa Soccer Fiesta (KSF) put together by Healthy Black Communities and Corporate Kicks Incorporated saw host Kakraba Sunday Stars (KSS) win the ultimate trophy on Sunday.

Kakraba Sunday journeyed into the finals by beating Rich Football Club on a 5-3 penalty shoot-out, went ahead to beat Kasoa Monday Stars on a 4-2 penalty shoots and met Estate Football Club in the finals  and defeated the young energetic side by a lone goal through Latif Abbebe spot kick in the 25th of the first half.

The two day event saw dignitaries gracing the occasion with the Member of Parliament for Gomoa East, Kojo Asemanyi chairing the occasion alongside Chief Executive Officer of HBC, Lamont Montee Evans and President of Corporate Kicks Kwabena Welch with Doctor SK Boafo, Precious Estate Developers CEO, 5 Star Foods CEO, Cedric (Tony Montana) all making their presence felt on the high table

Both HBC/Corporate Kicks Presidents were excited with the organization put together by, Hamza Okunnu the National Program Manager and his team.

“We are grateful to the people of Kasoa and all participating teams and especially the MP and all who made the occasion great. We will try and make this event an annual one if possible,” Lamont Montee Evans told Starr FM.

After a total of eight games Kakraba Monday Stars’ Suleiman Aziz was awarded the goal king, with the man of the final  match accolade going to Charles Afful (Nature)of Estate FC  , Best goalkeeper went to Kakraba Sunday Stars’ Ismail Attuquaye and his colleague Kojo  Alhassan picked the overall best player award.
