Asante Kotoko failed to progress to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup despite drawing away in Algeria with ES Setif in the reverse fixture.
Asante Kotoko were eliminated on a 2-1 aggregate score to ES Setif after the Algerian giants won the first leg by that scoreline in Ghana a week ago.
The Algerian side started the game on a high note attacking the Kotoko area but goalkeeper Razak Abalora denied them from scoring with magnificent saves.
Kotoko defended resolutely till the end of the first half.
The Porcupine Warriors looked comfortable in the second half as they dominated possession at large spells in the game and a few decent created opportunities.
Asante Kotoko could however not hit the back of the net of Setif after over 90 minutes of football paving the way for Setif to advance as they won the first leg in Ghana.
ES Setif have advanced to the group phase of the 2020/21 CAF Confederation Cup aggregate with Asante Kotoko eliminated.
