Microsoft announces its all-new matte black option to Surface Go 3. The brand new device comes with optional LTE connectivity.

The announcement was made a day after images of the new Surface Go 3 model was leaked, the device is identical to the regular Surface Go 3, the only changes are the new colour option as well as the LTE connectivity. The company confirms the launch of the new device via a tweet.

In September 2021, the Surface Event hosted by the company witnessed the very first launch of the Surface Go 3 with new Intel processor options. The first Surface Go 3 device which is a follow up to the Surface Go 2 can be configured with an Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y or Core i3-10100Y upgrades over the Surface Go 2, which launched with a Pentium Gold 4425Y or a Core m3 chip.

The new variation of the Surface Go 3 which comes with optional LTE connectivity is now available starting at $549.99, with an Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. If you’re interested in the optional LTE, then you’ll need to step up to a Core i3 model that comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and is priced at $729.99. A matching black Type Cover is also available for $99.99. The new matte black models are now available in the US, UK, and other Surface markets.

Interestingly the optional LTE that comes along with it allows users to connect their devices to the internet even when can’t connect to a Wi-Fi router. This is ideal for users trying to browse the web or use the internet on the go. Just slot in a SIM card with a data plan and you can take advantage of on-the-go internet whenever you need it.
