Two Cameroonian Nationals have been remanded by the Akwele Magistrate Court at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East District of the Central Region presided by her worship E. A Ocloo for dealing in fake currencies and Money doubling.
The two namely Mbenso and Mbrah Celeb both 37, were arrested at their hideout at Kasoa Opeikuma by the Central East Police Command.
According to the police, one Benjamin Agyeman came into contact with the two Cameroonian Nationals through social media with a promise to double an amount of fifty thousand Ghana cedis for him but upon sensing danger that the two were fraudsters, he reported the incident to the police leading to their arrest.
According to the Central Regional Police command, they have discovered a secret room which was full of fake Ghana cedis notes.
Further checks revealed that all the money in the room were printed in fake currencies.
DCOP Okyere Kojo Boapeah who is the Central Regional Police commander in an interview with EIB Network Central Regional Correspondent Yaw Boagyan confirmed that the two will be processed for court.
